Australia were beaten 2-1 at home by Brazil in a women’s international friendly watched by over 25,000 at the Cbus Super Stadium.

Gabi Portilho grabbed the opener for Brazil when shooting past keeper Tegan Micah just before the half-hour mark.

Lauren Leal doubled the lead on 40 minutes from an Amanda Gutierres delivery, while the Matildas swiftly replied on a quick break with setting up Hayley Raso to score.

Moldova beat Armenia 2-0 with a three-minute brace in the first half, Greece’s Sofia Kongouli scored twice as her side won 2-1 in Slovakia.
