Brazilian legend Cafu questions Roma’s decisions on Daniele De Rossi and Paulo Dybala and feels Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao have faced the same issue at Milan this season.
Milan and Roma meet at San Siro in a key Serie A match this evening.
Cafu, a former defender and Serie A winner for both sides, spoke about Giallorossi and Rossoneri in his latest interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Daniele [De Rossi] had done well after replacing Mourinho in the final months of last season, but he was sacked after a few rounds. What’s the point?” asked the ex-defender.
“Those with football knowledge are aware of De Rossi’s quality. He’s a young coach to watch in the future.”
Roma’s results have slightly improved under Ranieri, but there are rumours that Dybala could leave the club in January, as he enters the final six months of his contract in the capital.
“I don’t know why. Paulo’s left foot is rare, and Roma should hold tight to him,” said Cafu.
“On the contrary, this saga has been ongoing since last summer. Dybala, who should only focus on the pitch, is the first to be affected.”
Milan’s results have been pretty disappointing, too, this season, as the Rossoneri are currently below the top four.
Rafael Leao is injured but was benched several times in November, while Theo was treated the same way more recently. The Frenchman is expected to return to the starting XI this evening after beginning the latest two matches on the bench.
“A managerial change can’t justify a wrong attitude,” insisted Cafu.
“Hernandez and Leao are among the best players in Italy; they need to enter the pitch with the appropriate behaviour, and the rest will come.”
Lastly, the Brazilian predicted the Serie A title winner.
“Can’t I say Milan? Then I like to think it will be Atalanta’s season,” he said.
“Everyone believes they are a surprise, but they’ve been doing well for seven years under Gasperini.”
