Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti was on Friday drawn on the club’s plans for the final days of the January transfer window.
It has of course proven a quiet month in Spain’s capital to date when it comes to transfer deadlings.
Despite the widespread consensus that Real’s squad is in need of reinforcements, particularly at the back, Florentino Pérez and co. have opted to stand pat.
Speaking to the media in his latest pre-match press conference on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the fast-approaching transfer deadline was put to the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti.
La Liga’s transfer window will slam shut on February 3rd.
Somewhat surprisingly, though, Real’s headmaster refused to rule out a potential last-minute arrival, in explaining:
“No signings in winter, confirmed? No, I neither confirm nor deny anything. I appreciate that you didn’t ask too much about this window. We’ll see over these days [ahead].”
