The Japanese midfielder has had his fair share of issues over the years, whether it be dealing with injuries or a lack of consistency. But on his day, there is no doubt that he is one of the club's best players. We have seen enough proof of that, whether it be in Glasgow Derbies against the Rangers or in the Champions League against teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Hatate has been loosely linked with an exit for some time, though. And considering the number of midfielders that Celtic appear to have on their radar heading into the summer transfer window, it certainly feels like someone is ready to depart their midfield department.

As reported by the Daily Record, there have been suggestions that Hatate could be transferred this summer as Celtic look to maximise his transfer valuation. This will probably happen.
