Cercle Brugge have announced that on loan striker Paris Brunner suffered an injury in the win over OH Leuven. The teenager, who has begun to enjoy more minutes in the past few weeks, is now set to miss a number of weeks due to the injury. Thankfully part of this will come over the winter break, but with Cercle having lost Kevin Denkey to the MLS, the timing is unfortunate.

Brunner, who is only 18, joined the side in the summer on loan from Monaco, who had signed him from Borussia Dortmund. The imposing forward has shown his dribbling ability in recent weeks as well as his eye for goal, however his decision making in terms of when to find a teammate and when to shoot has seen him fail to capitalise on some great opportunities. This should change with more game time, yet now that will be limited till he recovers from this injury. So far, Brunner has played 14 games in all competitions for Cercle, scoring once in the Europa Conference League.
