The Uefa Champions League play-off round has concluded, which means it’s time for the round of 16 draw.
Manchester City were eliminated by Real Madrid on Wednesday night, but three Premier League sides – Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool – are still vying for European glory this season.
Here’s everything you need to know about the draw for the next round of the competition.
The draw for the round of 16 in the Champions League takes place this Friday at 11:00 GMT.
The draw will be streamed live on the BBC Sport website, Virgin Media Sport’s YouTube channel, Amazon Prime Video and the official Uefa website.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge, Feyenoord, Inter Milan, Lille, Liverpool, PSG, PSV Eindhoven, Real Madrid.
The new format means that there is not a completely open draw for the knockout rounds of the competition. Instead it is more like a bracket with particular matchups to be determined by Friday’s draw. Here’s who can face who:
The last-16 first leg ties will take place on 4/5 March and the return legs will be played on 11/12 March.
