Chelsea add Brighton’s Georginio Rutter to transfer shortlist | OneFootball

According to a report from Florian Plettenberg Premier League side Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion attacking midfielder Georginio Rutter (22). The blues have reportedly added the Frenchman to their shortlist for the coming transfer windows, and are closely monitoring his development. Rutter joined The Seagulls in the summer for a club-record fee of €47m from Championship side Leeds United, where he made his debut in English football after impressing at TSG Hoffenheim. At Brighton, Rutter has made 28 appearances so far and scored eight goals – registering four assists.This evidently won’t be the first time that Chelsea have come calling for talent from the Sussex club, who would likely put a major price-tag on the player that is currently under contract on the South Coast until 2028. The Frenchman has recently been on the sidelines with a foot injury, which could see him miss most of the remainder of the Premier League season.
