The winter transfer window has closed, and one player Paris Saint-Germain considered but ultimately didn’t sign is Christopher Nkunku.
Since his move to Chelsea from RB Leipzig for £52 million in 2023, Nkunku has struggled to secure a regular starting spot, fueling rumors about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Journalist Ben Jacobs previously reported that PSG had seriously considered bringing him back to Ligue 1, though no official offer was made.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich decided not to pursue Nkunku this winter. However, according to Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, the German club may revisit their interest in the summer.

Football Insider reported on Wednesday, citing sources, that Chelsea are planning to sell Nkunku this summer, even though he stayed at the club beyond the February 3 deadline. Chelsea asked for a fee of £60 million to £70 million to allow the Frenchman to leave during the mid-season, per Football Insider.
For the remainder of the season, he will likely remain a backup option under Enzo Maresca while already considering his future ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report also mentions that several clubs are “definitely interested” in the former RB Leipzig star despite his limited game time.
Recently, a report revealed that Bayern Munich and Manchester United showed strong interest in signing him. Still, Chelsea were unwilling to let him go unless a club met their €75 million valuation, per Fichajes.
