Chelsea are looking at a number of wingers ahead of the summer window as they look to bolster their squad according to reports.

The Blues had a quiet January window much to the disappointment of supporters, with the club now facing a critical summer, which they can’t afford to get wrong.

Chelsea need to address several key areas in the squad with a striker, centre back and left winger all needed, whilst it’s possible they could look to add another midfielder.

A winger has become a priority with it unclear when or if Mykhailo Mudryk will play for the club again following his positive doping test.

The Blues were linked with Alejandro Garnacho and Mathys Tel throughout January, whist Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens is said to be a target.

Ademola Lookman is believed to have been shortlisted, and Mail Sport have reported the Blues are looking at a number of wingers ahead of the summer.

The report adds that Jesus Rodriguez of Real Betis is one they’ve looked at, with the 19-year-old impressing in La Liga this season.

Chelsea currently have Jadon Sancho, who is expected to remain at the club despite reports suggesting he could return to Manchester United, Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke as their wide options.

Youngster Tyrique George is another option, although with Estevao Willian arriving in the summer, it’s likely George could go on loan to get the regular minutes he needs.

Fans will desperately be hoping someone with experience and a goalscoring touch arrives, with Lookman arguably the player that fits the bill best, because the last thing the Blues need is yet another inexperienced teenager added to the squad.

This summer is arguably the most important window under the new ownership and what happens will likely dictate the direction Chelsea head in over the next few years.
