One Chelsea player who is very much a backup rotation player right now has gone ahead and changed his agents in an intriguing move.

Often when a player changes agents it means that they are looking to seek a new move away or a new contract at the club they are already at. But of course, there could be other reasons for making such a move, and anything in this sentence is pure speculation at this point.

EXCLUSIVE! The SIXTEEN players Chelsea made attempts on trying to sign in January but failed!

However, it is intriguing to hear that right back Malo Gusto has changed his agents.

Foot Mercato report that Malo Gusto has changed his agent and is now represented by Wasserman agency.

Gusto has been at Chelsea a while now and has mainly had to remain as a backup player unless Reece James is injured. That has given him opportunities to play of course, but you feel that he could be looking to maybe be a more important player. Again, this is all speculation but could have some weight to it.

I’d not be surprised if Gusto is seeking to move into a role where he is the starting right back at a club every week, but let’s see what happens.

You’re bringing back players who should have been with the squad all along. It looks like a lot of mismanagement all around. And if you ask me right now if Chelsea have a better squad for the second half of the season than they had for the first half – I think the answer is unequivocally: ‘no’.”
