Chelsea have made a move to bring Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel to Stamford Bridge, while the Blues' disaffected forward Christopher Nkunku could be on his way to Bavaria, according to various reports.
Tel has developed a reputation as one of Europe's most exciting young forwards despite being afforded precious few minutes by Bayern. The teenager managed to rack up a double-digit goal tally across all competitions last season while making just ten starts.
Christopher Nkunku has operated in the shadows for Chelsea this season. Eight years older than his compatriot, the former Bundesliga top scorer's involvement has largely been restricted to cup competitions this term, leading to extensive rumours about a move away.
Barcelona have been floated as a potential destination, but Bayern Munich are thought to be interested in the former RB Leipzig forward, per Fabrizio Romano.

The Athletic have backed up that information and added that Chelsea have enquired about a move for Tel. These prospective deals are not framed as a swap, as The Times are at pains to point out, and have the prospect to succeed or fail on their own merits irrespective of the other.
Chelsea have not made Nkunku available for a transfer just yet, with Maresca publicly insisting: "We want to keep him here because we are happy with him."
Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has taken a similar stance with Tel. "Mathys Tel is a very important player for us," Freund told Sky Sports Germany this week.
"We are in very good contact because he's a great talent and should play an important role for us. We have had many discussions. Our clear goal is for Mathys to make his breakthrough with us. We are very happy with our squad, quality and quantity wise.
"Of course if a player is unhappy, we can talk about it. Our clear plan with Mathys is for him to make his breakthrough here."
