Enzo Maresca has rotated for third Blues game in nine days
Enzo Maresca has heavily rotated his Chelsea side as they face Ipswich tonight.
The high-flying Blues have picked up only one point in their last two games either side of Christmas, drawing 0-0 away at Everton and then being stunned by a late Fulham comeback in a 2-1 home defeat on Boxing Day.
Maresca made only one change to his side between those matches, recalling the suspended Marc Cucurella, but has tinkered much more against the newly-promoted outfit.
Filip Jorgensen gets the nod in between the posts with Axel Disasi returning to the defence in place on Malo Gusto.
Noni Madueke is also back in the XI after being dropped for “technical” reasons for the Fulham defeat.
Elsewhere, Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku are handed rare league starts as Nicolas Jackson is rested along with Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto.
Maresca did not provide a fresh update on Romeo Lavia’s fitness ahead of the game, but the midfielder misses out once again. Though, the good news is that club captain Reece James is named among the substitutes.
Chelsea XI: Jorgensen; Disasi, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez (c); Madueke, Palmer, Joao Felix; Nkunku
