Federico Chiesa is ‘very happy at Liverpool’ and has ‘no regrets’ over leaving Juventus, insists father Enrico, who had some precious advice.
The Italy international has struggled for playing time since the move to Anfield over the summer, partly due to his recurring injury problems, but also poor form and difficulty adapting to the Premier League.
This prompted repeated reports that he could be heading back to Serie A for the likes of Napoli, Roma or Milan.
However, his father – former Italy striker Enrico Chiesa – assures that is not on his mind.
“Federico is very happy at Liverpool, he is at a top club that is leading the Premier League and now we hope he can win the title!” Enrico Chiesa told Tuttosport newspaper.
“He is there to have his say, he has a great opportunity.”

Having a father in the industry can help to provide valuable advice for a young player and Enrico has been consistent on that score.
“I told him over the summer what I’ve been saying since he was a kid, because the truth is, until the age of 15, he didn’t really play that often.
“When he’d ask what he should do, I told him to keep training, don’t give up, make sure you are ready when the moment comes.”
The departure from Juventus was rather abrupt due to his high salary and the refusal to offer him a new contract, so he had to be sold on the cheap to avoid losing him as a free agent.
Does Federico have any regrets about the way that happened?
“Regrets are just the alibis for losers. No, there are no regrets,” insisted Enrico.
