City’s Barclays Women’s Super League campaign began on Sunday and it saw us draw 2-2 with Arsenal in an end-to-end affair.
The hosts took the lead inside 10 minute at the Emirates courtesy of a Frida Maanum strike.
But goals from Vivianne Miedema and Jess Park either side of half-time put City quickly into the driving seat.
But the points would be shared with our title rival after a late Beth Mead goal saw both teams awarded a point.
Start the season as you mean to go on and City definitely did that in our first competitive fixture of the 2024/25 campaign.
A 5-0 thumping over Paris in the first leg mean City already have one foot placed in the group stage of the Champions League.
Miedema scored her first competitive goal in sky blue before a brace from Jess Park, separated by a Mary Fowler goal, saw City reach our full potential.
Substitute Chloe Kelly topped of the scoring which was complimented nicely by a strong defensive performance and well-earned clean sheet.
The game is not on TV so is only available to watch on CITY+.
Regular text updates as well as post-match coverage will also be available on mancity.com and the Official Man City App.
