According to the outlet, Luuk de Jong is not a figure easily deterred from first-team action, and while this may have been a positive for many seasons, it has pushed his American understudy to perhaps think of pastures greener.

While Eindhovens Dagblad indicated that Pepi was impatient with his opportunities, a winter departure from the Phillips Stadion is, in any case, not on the agenda. It is believed that PSV would not want to cooperate, even if a bid came in worth 30 million euros.

Eindhoven Dagsblad presented their thoughts on whether De Jong would be able to accommodate the USMNT striker, in turn taking a step back.

“Yes, but with difficulty.” The strong-headed captain currently seems to feel fit enough for a role as the starting striker. In the meantime, he accepts the decisions of trainer Peter Bosz “without too much grumbling”.

The Dutch champions believe in Pepi’s development and are looking forward to his time in red and white in the long term, it seems.

Earlier this week, Germany’s BILD reported that Borussia Dortmund would like Pepi. For now, that appears to be little more than a rumour.
