The hypothesis of a potential swap deal between AC Milan and Juventus is beginning to gain momentum, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com begin a report by asking a question: ‘If Juventus like Fikayo Tomori so much, why shouldn’t Milan like Nicolò Fagioli as much?’. In January various strange ideas can be generated, especially when there are two teams with very obvious needs.
The possible swap deal between Fagioli and Tomori is something that would meet the needs of both the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri. More talks are needed to understand if the deal could become feasible, though the right conditions are there in principle.
Regarding Fagioli, Juventus would like to sell the midfield to generate funds to then spend on a centre-back. Meanwhile, Milan are not closing the door to the idea of selling Tomori but they want a cash offer of around €25m.
The Pierre Kalulu operation shows that deals can quickly come to fruition even between rivals, and while Milan might feel some regret about how that turned out, this at least would give them the opportunity to fill a need themselves.
Danilo will also leave Juve, but Napoli are pursuing him strongly. In the Juve-Milan discussions, there was also an in-depth one regarding the Brazilian, but his age and profile mean they have not gone any further.
