Sergio Conceicao has made several significant changes since arriving at Milan last week. As a report states this morning, the manager has put an emphasis on discipline and the players have abided.
The Supercoppa Italiana win was very important for Milan and Conceicao, starting things off on the right foot, but the manager highlighted yesterday that they cannot be satisfied. A club like the Rossoneri must fight for bigger and better things every season, such as the Scudetto.
According to today’s edition of Corriere della Sera, as cited by MilanNews, the manager has meant business at Milan so far. Some of his new rules include: limited smartphone use, a weight test every morning and no slippers for lunch or meetings.
The players have abided so far, not saying a word when the rules were imposed, and the same can be said for when Conceicao announced that the pre-match ritiro would return. If you are unfamiliar with the latter, it means that the squad will stay at Milanello on the eve of home games.
We discussed this in our latest newsletter, which is published on our Substack. If you like getting Milan the most important news straight to your inbox, as well as some insight from the week that has been, you should definitely subscribe (it’s completely free!).
