Luka Jovic’s minutes at AC Milan have been effectively nonexistent this season, and the striker may be sold in the January mercato.

This season has been baffling for Jovic. The Serbian renewed with Milan in the summer only to be put on the market at the end of the mercato, albeit to no avail. Now, he is probably the fourth choice in the pecking order, and a way out is needed.

With Alvaro Morata’s injury, and Tammy Abraham not 100%, any other manager would probably put the striker next in line. Instead, Paulo Fonseca opted to offer Francesco Camarda his first start for the senior side against Cagliari. A fantastic moment, but a damning one for Jovic.

With there being no suggestion that things will change, it is probable that the Rossoneri will look to part ways when they can, and it seems there are already suitors interested in the possibility of adding Jovic to their squad.

Most notable is Galatasaray, and a report from Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News) suggest that the Turkish club have ‘set their sights’ on the 26-year-old. He represents a ‘low-cost opportunity’, and with Mauro Icardi’s injury, they require a goalscorer. It was suggested yesterday that he was being considered, but it seems that he might now be the favoured option.

Should the move occur in January, it would also aid Milan’s quest to add to their midfield in the January mercato, even if the fee is not significant, wages would be lessened which would only help.
