David Jurasek set for Bundesliga departure

Hoffenheim wingback David Jurasek may soon be on the move away from his Bundesliga side. Kicker (citing Greek media sources) reports that Jurasek – on loan from Benfica Lisbon – may see his loan deal terminated so as to facilitate a move to PAOK Saloniki.

Jurasek’s parent club will wish to loan him out once again.

Jurasek was initially loaned out to the Kraichgauer last January. A renewed loan arrangement was agreed upon this summer as the TSG maintained a dire need for help on the defensive left rail.

Unfortunately for the 11-times-capped Czech international, a broken forearm saw Jurasek lose his starting place to Austrian international Alexander Prass. Jurasek has made two Europa League starts under Ilzer, but only been used twice in relief in the league.

Jurasek entertains little hope of displacing Prass under the coaching/managerial regimes of Prass’ fellow Austrian compatriots Christian Ilzer and Andreas Schicker.

It’s common knowledge that Schicker’s predecessor negotiated a €10m purchase option as part of the latest loan deal. Jurasek’s parent club will seek a new loan with better prospects of cashing in on their player.
