There is much excitement among the Real Madrid fans surrounding the release of a highly-anticipated documentary, Cómo no te voy a querer, which premiers today on Amazon PrimeVideo.

The documentary is set to give fans an unprecedented look into Real Madrid’s historic 2023/24 season. Produced by Wakai, the six-episode series chronicles the club’s journey to its record-extending 15th UEFA Champions League title and another La Liga triumph.

It appears one of the most emotional moments of the documentary revolves around Toni Kroos.

The legendary German midfielder bid farewell at the end of last season to the game despite the wishes of his teammates, coaching staff, and fans.

Kroos, a key figure in Real Madrid’s midfield for a decade, decided to retire at the peak of his powers, leaving an irreplaceable void in the squad.

Among those most affected by his departure is Davide Ancelotti, assistant coach and son of Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti.

In a particularly moving scene, Davide speaks about Kroos’ significance to him on and off the pitch.

“Toni, I don’t know. He’s been more than a player for me,” he says (h/t MARCA) before pausing, with his eyes being visibly emotional.

This is merely a small clip of the Amazon PrimeVideo documentary, which promises to offer never-before-seen clips from Real Madrid’s dressing room last season.

The series will also include exclusive interviews with Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal, among countless others.
