Jesus Vallejo’s time at Real Madrid is set to come to an end this summer as he reaches a decade with the club.

According to Jorge Picon (h/t RM4 Arab), the Spanish defender will be moving on after struggling to establish himself in the team for several seasons.

However, where he will go next remains uncertain, and finding a new club will not be easy given his lack of regular football in recent years.

So far this season, Vallejo has barely featured, playing only ten minutes in total. He has been on the fringes of the squad for some time now, and it is clear that he is not part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, there is no expectation that he will be reintegrated into the squad in the coming months.

Why has fallen out of favour?

One of the key reasons behind Vallejo’s continued absence from the team is his physical condition. The club has seemingly lost hope that he can regain full fitness solely through training.

He has dealt with multiple minor illnesses and while none have been serious, they have contributed to his struggles.

The reality is that Vallejo needs regular playing time and confidence to rediscover his form—something Real Madrid is unwilling to provide.

Vallejo has stayed professional

Despite his situation, Vallejo has remained committed to training and frequently shares updates on social media to show his dedication.

However, no amount of hard work is expected to change the club’s stance, and his departure seems inevitable unless an unexpected turn of events occurs.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Vallejo will be looking for a new club where he can secure regular minutes and rebuild his career.

His time at the Santiago Bernabeu is drawing to a close, and once the window opens, he will officially bid farewell to Real Madrid.
