Enzo Maresca admits he is ‘concerned’ about ‘delicate’ and weak position on the pitch

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has admitted that he is concerned about one area on the pitch that he describes as ‘delicate’.
This comes after Chelsea lost 2-1 against Aston Villa on Saturday evening after being 1-0 up inside the first 20 minutes. I think Chelsea fans would have just expected even at that point, that their side were still going to lose this game, and they did.
Yet another horror goalkeeper error from Chelsea saw Villa grab the winning goal near the end of the game, but we all saw it coming.
Chelsea could not score and were really terrible. Even Cole Palmer was terrible, and he was seen trying to blame others for a bad pass that HE himself made. This just about sums everything up right now.
This marks The Blues now winning just 2 games from the last 11 in all competitions and 2 from the last 10 in the Premier League. Things are now very dire for Maresca and his team.
Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen in a montage together.
In what will be SIX transfer windows come the summer since the new owners came in, Chelsea have failed to sign a top number one goalkeeper.
Robert Sanchez is far from good enough, they sent Djordje Petrovic on loan after he took Sanchez’s number one spot last season. Filip Jorgensen has now took Sanchez’s number one spot this season, and even he looks far from good enough. It’s a very sad state.
Maresca admits that he is concerned about his goalkeeper position.
Speaking on goalkeepers in general after the Villa defeat last night, Maresca said:
“I’m always concerned, even when we were winning games I was concerned, now for keeper it’s a delicate position because when they make a mistake everyone can see it, this is a moment where we need to support each other and try to be strong.”
