Former defender Cesar feels that Lazio “don’t need to pass any tests” in their Serie A clash with Inter Milan on Monday.

The Brazilian gave his thoughts on the upcoming match to LaLazio.it. He also compared Inter wingback Federico Dimarco with Lazio’s Nuno Tavares.

Lazio host Inter in Serie A on Monday evening.

And the match already has the sense of a potential title-decider.

Inter are the defending champions in Serie A. And even though they did not quite get off to the best of starts in the league this season, they’ve gotten themselves right into contention.

But so have Lazio. They have been in spectacular form under Marco Baroni, both domestically and Europe.

The likes of Atalanta, Fiorentina, and Napoli would certainly also have something to say.

But for all the teams at the top, Monday’s match promises to be a huge fixture.

Cesare: “Lazio Don’t Need To Pass Any Tests” Vs Inter Milan

Lazio’s form this season has come as more of a surprise than Inter’s.

The Nerazzurri came into the campaign as defending champions, kept last season’s team together, and even made a couple notable additions in the transfer market.

The Biancocelesti, on the other hand, had a real summer of upheaval. There were a number of players both in and out, whilst they also brought in a new coach in the form of Baroni.

Hormer Inter and Lazio defender Cesare said that “I’ve heard that it will be a test for the Biancocelesti.”

“But how many more tests does this team still need to pass?” he hit out.

“I’d repeat. They’ve beaten Napoli twice. Then they went to the Netherlands and beat Ajax.”

Meanwhile, Cesar compared Inter wingback Federico Dimarco and Lazio’s in-form Nuno Tavares. Both play the role that he did during his playing days.

“We’re talking about two very good players,” the Brazilian said. “They can change a game at any moments.”

“They have different characteristics,” Cesar added. “And they also play in different setups.”

“It’s hard to choose,” he argued.

“Let’s say that it would depend on the formation.”
