Exciting manager races ahead of 4 rivals for Leicester job

If we believe what typically insightful bookmakers' odds suggest, one exciting potential manager is the leading candidate to take over at Leicester City. The possible next Foxes boss is said to have raced ahead of four other apparent rivals for the top job at King Power Stadium. The LCFC fans appear to support the possibility of having this seemingly likeable, capable and Premier League-experienced coach. Following Enzo Maresca's switch to Chelsea Football Club and successor Steve Cooper's unhappy spell, City must appoint the right person within a reasonable time frame. So, who's the man in pole position to ascend the Filbert Way throne?

There is another interesting story for us to briefly explain and offer our opinions on. And it is a matter directly concerning to Cooper. The Welshman was said to be 'stunned' by his sacking at Leicester. The Nottingham Forest fan base definitely valued their successful one-time gaffer. Though the Blue Army certainly did not appreciate or really accept the 44-year-old on the whole. But why did the LCFC hierarchy decide to part ways with him? In addition to that factor, why was Cooper so surprised?

Steve Cooper shocked by so-called untimely dismissal

No, Leicester are not currently in the dreaded EPL relegation zone. But it was coming if Cooper remained in place. Well, that's my opinion and I'm pretty sure the majority of Foxes fans would back it.

To be clear, I wasn't as dead against the now former City boss continuing as some supporters were. Although, some of Cooper's team selections and tactics were as questionable as other similarly unsuitable recent Leicester bosses.

Overall, Foxes of Leicester is absolutely glad that a fresh, hopefully appropriate manager might arrive. Cooper was amazed at the swiftness of chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha's decision:

"The 44-year-old is understood to have been left stunned by his sacking, which was relayed to him by director of football Jon Rudkin on Sunday."- The Telegraph

Ruud van Nistelrooy leads the pack

If you trust the bookies, it looks as though van Nistelrooy is in line to become Leicester's latest team leader. Yet separate reported King Power targets are reported to be in the running.

Carlos Corberan of West Bromwich Albion is rated as having a 14-1 chance of being the chosen one. 12-1 are the odds of ex-Everton, West Ham United and Manchester United man David Moyes.

Meanwhile former Chelsea, Swansea City and Ostersunds head coach Graham Potter sits second on the list with a supposed 10-1 chance of joining LCFC. However, retired Man United and Netherlands player van Nistelrooy sits first with 4/7 odds at the time of writing.
