Fabrizio Romano Offers Update on Man Utd, PSG Target With 25 Contributions | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Victor Osimhen in both of the past two transfer windows, and even though the summer window is still a few months off, the Osimhen saga is already gaining steam.

After finding the form that made him one of the standout players in the 2022-23 season, this time with Galatasaray, Osimhen is expected to draw even more attention from Europe’s top clubs when the summer window opens.

This season, Osimhen has scored 20 goals and added five assists in 26 matches across all competitions for the Turkish giants.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Osimhen’s situation. Romano clarified that reports claiming Manchester United closely watched Osimhen during Galatasaray’s match against Rizespor in Turkey are false.

“Sources close to the story guarantee that all rumours on Man United scouts travelling to follow Osimhen’s progress at Galatasaray are wide of the mark, as they don’t even need to “check” on this kind of player; they like him, but the financial package will make the difference,” Romano noted (h/t TEAMtalk)

According to TBR Football, Manchester United recently sent scouts to observe Osimhen in that match on Monday, where he scored twice to help his team move six points ahead of Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce. Napoli are looking to sell Osimhen in the winter transfer window, and Ruben Amorim’s side continues to monitor him.

Additionally, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported that both Manchester United and PSG have officially expressed interest in signing Osimhen this summer. Both clubs have made verbal offers regarding his contract and salary, with plans to meet his release clause. Amorim is also eager to bring him in.

However, that doesn’t mean Manchester United isn’t interested in landing Osimhen—they are, in fact, very much in the race.
