FC Cincinnati have triggered the purchase option to sign on-loan wide-man Luca Orellano from Brazilian outfit Vasco da Gama on a permanent basis.
The club announced their offseason roster moves Monday afternoon, and Orellanos' permanent stay was the biggest move.
Orellano was a key component of Cincinnati's attacking output in the 2024 campaign after being pushed further up the pitch from his natural wing-back role.
The 24-year-old finished with 10 goals and seven assists in his debut campaign for the Ohio club, including winning the Goal of the Season.
Triggering the clause will reportedly cost Cincinnati upwards of $3M.
Cincinnati already signed forward Kevin Denkey from Cercle Brugge on a league-record deal of $16.3M earlier this winter as they look to retool in a major way ahead of 2025.
