Former Real Madrid starlet confirms Blancos return hopes | OneFootball

A former member of the academy setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid has admitted that he is hopeful of securing a return to the club down the line.

The player in question? Nico Paz.

Youngster Paz, for his part, secured a departure from the Spanish capital over the summer.

In the knowledge that his route to first-team minutes remained a crowded one at best this coming season, the Argentine youth international made the call to leave his long-time club behind.

Paz, in turn, put pen to paper on terms with Serie A newcomers Como, under the watch of midfield icon Cesc Fàbregas.

The 20-year-old has since enjoyed a fine start to life in Italy, shining from his berth at the heart of the Como engine room.

Such excellence has given rise to early murmurs that Paz’s form has already piqued the attention of those back at Real Madrid, who secured a buyback option as part of the terms of his sale.

And, if the latest comments on the part of the youngster himself are anything to go by, it would certainly appear that Paz is open to the prospect of a Santiago Bernabéu return.

Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport this weekend, the Como talent was drawn on the possibility of rejoining Real Madrid.

And his response was as follows:

“A future at Real Madrid? I hope so. But now I’m with Como and I will give my all.”
