Manchester United are reportedly one of two Premier League clubs interested in the services of Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez.

The 21-year-old is a product of the Blaugrana’s famous La Masia academy who has been part of the senior squad since 2023. The youngster has been facing stern competition for starting places in a midfield department that includes the likes of Pedri, Gavi and Frenkie de Jong. Nevertheless, he has been able to carve himself some space while the stats suggest he arguably deserve a more prominent role.

This season, Fermin has contributed with five goals and as many assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.
