Giovanni Galeone, a former Napoli coach, admits Antonio Conte’s future at the club is uncertain and reveals Aurelio De Laurentiis is an admirer of Massimiliano Allegri.
Conte is under contract with Napoli until June 2027, but the Italian tactician has recently thrown his future at the Stadio Maradona into doubt by complaining about the club’s management and their lack of ambition.
Conte and President Aurelio De Laurentiis will sit down to plan the future at the end of the season, but the former midfielder’s exit remains on the cards.
Galeone, a former Italian coach and a close friend and mentor of ex-Juventus boss Allegri, confirmed that Conte’s stay at Napoli is unsure.

“Now there will be a domino effect for coaches in Europe. It’s hard to say whether Conte will stay at Napoli, even if he wins the Scudetto,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss via Calciomercato.com.
“It’s hard to predict what will happen. Conte’s focus is solely on the end of the season. If Napoli win all their games, they’ll win the title.
“Some benches are expected to become available, like Bayer Leverkusen, Milan, Roma and Real Madrid,” continued Galeone.
“The phone calls start now, at the beginning of May.”
Allegri has been without a club for nearly a year after being sacked by Juventus, but he has been linked with Napoli and Milan for the 2025-26 season.
“Many years ago, when Max was coaching Milan, we happened to meet Aurelio De Laurentiis at a restaurant in Milan,” Galeone recalled.
“He invited Max to his table and spoke to him. Surely he holds him high in regard.”
Galeone highlighted that Allegri reached all his targets at Juventus last season, by securing a top-four finish and winning the Coppa Italia.
The Italian coach has won the Serie A title four times, once with Milan and three times with Juventus.
