Girona beware: Liverpool recover key player for UCL clash | OneFootball

Premier League giants Liverpool have welcomed a crucial member of the club’s first-team setup back into the fold, for their upcoming showdown with Girona.

The player in question? Alisson Becker.

Goalkeeper Alisson has for his part spent the last couple of months on the sidelines, owing to a hamstring injury.

The Brazilian, all told, was forced to sit out 11 outings across all competitions.

And though stand-in Caoimhín Kelleher did an admirable job in place of Alisson, the return of their no.1 between the posts will no doubt mark a major boost for Arne Slot’s side.

Unfortunately for the aforementioned Girona, as much looks set to come in their Champions League clash with Liverpool later this evening, Reds boss Slot having announced in the buildup to the fixture that:

“Alisson is back and he’s fit, ready to play against Girona.”
