Alexandre Pato is still very much involved in an AC Milan capacity, and today, he offered his best to one of the January signings.

Throughout history, you will struggle to find a time when Milan lacked iconic players, and among the most iconic is Pato. The Brazilian striker was one of the highest-rated youngsters on the planet at one point, but he struggled to live up to his potential due to injuries.

Despite this, the Brazilian still is fondly remembered by Rossonero, and he often speaks about how much he loves the club to this day. For this reason, his involvement in the 125th anniversary celebrations was no shock.

He is not just an idol for fans though, and current players likely looked up to the star and one of these players is Riccardo Sottil, who arrived from Fiorentina in the January mercato. In his welcoming press conference, he revealed he had a ‘soft spot’ for the striker and today, Pato replied (via Milan Press).

“Good luck!!! Thanks for the words! Glad you made it to the most important team in the world.”

Words from an idol will certainly help Sottil settle, and with the inspiration from one of his idols, it is hoped Sottil can emulate Pato at San Siro.
