Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick made use of the opportunity to send a classy message the way of Inter Milan on Tuesday night.
This, of course, comes fresh off the second meeting between the two European heavyweights in the space of a week.
Barcelona made the trip to San Siro yesterday evening, for the 2nd leg of a Champions League semi-final tie.
When all was said and done in a pulsating affair, the Blaugrana were sent packing from Europe for the season, owing to a 7-6 aggregate defeat.
Post-match, those of a Barca persuasion were quick to make clear their frustrations with referee Szymon Marciniak, with the aforementioned Hansi Flick, for one, having vented:
“Every 50/50 decision that the ref had, he called it in Inter’s favor. This makes me sad”.
Following these comments, though, were some altogether more positive ones on the part of the German tactician.
As his press conference was coming to a close, Flick went on to add:
“Maybe I have been speaking about the referee, but I want to say good luck to Inter. They did a great job. I wish them the best in the final.”
