Harry Redknapp has been talking about Newcastle United.
The former Spurs and Bournemouth boss discussing Eddie Howe and his team ahead of this weekend.
Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
A 2pm kick-off on Sunday afternoon.
United set to face Nottingham Forest.
“Another big game in a fantastic weekend.
“Newcastle just didn’t turn up against Manchester City but they always take some stopping at home.
“I think they’ll be up for this and a win would put them only three points behind Nottingham Forest.
“Forest weren’t great at Fulham and it’s vital that they get something here. They’ve got Arsenal coming up during the week, they don’t want to undo all their great work in the space of a couple of weeks.
“Sadly, for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, I think Newcastle win this.
“Prediction: Newcastle 2 Nottingham Forest 1
“One to watch – Alexander Isak has been quite quiet of late; I don’t think that will last much longer though.”
Can’t disagree with a lot of what Harry Redknapp has had to say.
Although I think with Alexander Isak, it is all relative.
Since scoring twice in the 3-1 win at Southampton, it is true that Isak hasn’t scored in the next four matches.
Along with the rest of the team he was poor at Man City.
However, the game before that he only played the final seconds as a sub against Birmingham.
Isak’s last match at St James’ Park though, he was top class.
A dubious very marginal offside decision ruled out an early goal against Arsenal.
However, he tormented the Arsenal defence all night and another superb effort came back off the bar for Murphy to score the opener and make it 3-0 up on aggregate.
If Alexander Isak plays like that against Forest then I think Newcastle United will be OK for sure.
