Glasgow City and Hibernian leapfrogged Rangers and Celtic into the top two places in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League.

Hibernian beat Celtic with a first-half goal, Tegan Bowie crossing for Eilidh Adams to head home off the crossbar, leaving the Hoops three points behind the leading pair.
Glasgow City took advantage of results elsewhere to go back to the top of the table on goal-difference with a 4-0 win over Motherwell. The visitors’ resistance was broken by Brenna Lovera close to half time, Lisa Forrest and a Natalia Wrobel double later sealed the points.
Rangers recovered a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Hearts, Bayley Hutchison’s brace eventually bringing replies by Laura Berry and Rio Hardy.

Montrose won 3-1 at Dundee United, going ahead through a Megan Burns’ own-goal but levelling with an Ashley Robertson effort. Neve Guthrie and London Pollard struck in the second half to send Montrose home with the win.
Aberdeen edged Spartans 1-0 with an early Emily Kraft goal, Queen’s Park and Partick Thistle played out a goalless draw in the last match day before the league split.
SWPL 2
St Johnstone 2-1 Hamilton Academical Livingston 5-1 Rossvale Ayr United 4-4 Gartcairn Kilmarnock 1-4 Boroughmuir Thistle
St Johnstone defeated leaders Hamilton but Kilmarnock failed to take advantage, beaten at home by Boroughmuir Thistle who went level on points with them.
The Accies were ahead in the second half through Chloe Muir but Olivia Hurrell came off the bench to bag a brace for the Saints.
Emily Arthur hit a late first-half double for Thistle, Cara Gray replied from the spot for Killie, only for Amy Forbes and Louise Mason to score for the visitiors.
Livingston were 5-1 winners over Rossvale with five different goalscorers, Ayr United are bottom by just a point after sharing eight goals with Gartcairn, Jaya Gill getting a double in a fightback from two goals down.
