La Liga giants Barcelona are considered one of the two frontrunners to land Bayer Leverkusen star Jonathan Tah next summer.
That’s according to German football insider Florian Plettenberg, who has on Saturday provided an insight into the latest developments surrounding the defender’s future.
The name of stopper Tah has of course long proven a prominent one in the headlines in Barcelona.
This comes after the Blaugrana saw a late-window approach for the German international rebuffed by their counterparts at the aforementioned Bayer Leverkusen over the summer.
Ahead of the expiration of his terms at the BayArena in 2025, though, Deco and co. are continuing to keep a close eye on Tah’s situation.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then Barca beating out the competition to a deal is not at all out of the question.
In fact, the La Liga table-toppers should be considered one of the two favourites to land the 28-year-old:
‘FC Bayern and FC Barcelona are two concrete options for a free transfer in summer, and it is currently highly likely that he will choose one of these clubs.’
