Winning just two league games at home all season, the Clarets' supporters saw their side struggle against England's best teams and they could have no complaints when they were relegated at the end of last term.

They have made a decent start to life back in the Championship though - and have enjoyed some positive moments at home.

The Clarets hammered Cardiff City during their first home game of the season - and enjoyed a feisty derby against Blackburn Rovers.

They probably should have registered a win against Rovers, especially after seeing Makhtar Gueye sent off, but John Eustace's side can't be underestimated and that point could end up being crucial for Scott Parker's side at the end of the season.

And a last-minute winner against Portsmouth last weekend helped to boost morale further, with Parker's side building on an impressive away win at Leeds United.

Fans will be hoping the 2024/25 campaign will be like the 2022/23 season, when the Lancashire side dominated the league under Vincent Kompany.

And there is likely to be plenty of optimism that this will be the case, with Parker having two second-tier promotions on his CV already during his fairly short managerial career.

Not only does owner and chairman Alan Pace have a talented manager at the helm, but he has also helped to create a very talented squad that's packed full of quality, despite some high-profile departures during the previous window.

There's unlikely to be a shortage of competition for promotion this season, but big things are expected of the Clarets and fans at Turf Moor will be hoping to get value for money.

How much the cheapest adult season ticket is at Burnley

According to Birmingham World, the Clarets’ cheapest adult season ticket is £352, and they rank eighth in the entire Championship.

£352 isn’t a huge amount for a club that has just come down to the English top flight, but the Lancashire side may have kept the price fairly low to try and attract as many people to Turf Moor as possible.

A penetrative pricing strategy can help to get more bums on seats - and you have to say that £352 is a reasonable price for 23 league games.

Per game, the cost works out at around £15.

Coventry City are top of the pile in the second tier, with their cheapest adult season ticket just £250.

This pricing makes sense, because they have a big stadium to fill and owner Doug King will be keen to see the Coventry Building Society Arena rocking this season.

Their start to the season hasn’t been great, but under Mark Robins, you’d expect them to get back on track.

Queens Park Rangers are second in this list on £252, missing out on being top by just £2.

Unlike Coventry, they have a fairly small stadium, but they haven’t enjoyed the best time over the past couple of years and this price could help to lure fans back to Loftus Road.

It’s an intimidating place to come when it’s full - and the price of the cheapest adult season ticket will only help the club in their quest to pack out the stadium.

At the other end of the list, Middlesbrough's (24th) cheapest adult season ticket is a whopping £574.

This is a considerable amount - and Sheffield Wednesday (23rd) aren’t far behind them on £560.

That works out at way more than £20 per game for both teams.
