Inter Milan and Brighton & Hove Albion are both eyeing up a move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Rocco Reitz.
This according to German outlet Sky Sports Deutschland, via FCInterNews. They report that the 22-year-old will have a release clause worth €20 million active at the end of the 2025-26 season.
Reitz has emerged as a regular in the Gladbach first team.
The 22-year-old is a graduate of Die Fohlen’s youth academy system. He received his first appearance for the first team in the 2020-21 season.
However, it was last campaign that the young midfielder really established himself.
Reitz appeared in all 34 of Gladbach’s matches that season. He made 37 appearances in all competitions.
And this time around, Reitz has cemented himself further. The move of midfielder Manu Kone to Roma has opened up a slot in the midfield for him.
Reitz has caught the eye with his versatility. And he has certainly proven himself at the senior level in the Bundesliga.
Moreover, Reitz has been playing with Germany’s Under-21 team since 2023.
And unsurprisingly, the 22-year-old’s form has attracted some transfer interest.
According to Sky Deutschland, Inter are foremost among the teams tracking Reitz.
However, from the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion are also keen on the German.
Reitz recently signed a contract until the end of June 2028. However, from the end of June 2026 on there is a release clause, reports Sky Deutschland.
At that point, Reitz would be available for a fee of €20 million.
