Right now, there are few coaches with as high a reputation as that of Inter coach Inzaghi.

The 48-year-old has guided the Nerazzurri to the Serie A title, the Champions League final, and more domestic silverware.

Moreover, Inter have played a clear and recognizable style under Inzaghi.

It is inevitable that this has attracted some interest in the former Lazio coach from other clubs.

And it is not as though Inzaghi is pushing for an exit. He has long made clear that he is happy at Inter and wants to continue his project at the club for the foreseeable future.

However, that doesn’t mean that Inzaghi isn’t aware of the prospect of a different challenge in his future.

Reportedly, both of Chelsea and Manchester United have sounded out Inzaghi in the past.

The Inter coach has rebuffed that interest. He has always preferred to sign a new deal with the Nerazzurri.

However, the Premier League certainly remains as a temptation.

And according to Tuttosport, there is another big English club who have approached Inzaghi’s representatives to make clear that they would consider appointing him.

That club is Arsenal.

Right now, the Gunners have Mikel Arteta on the bench. The Spanish coach has been in charge since 2019.

And Arteta is currently under contract at the Emirates until the end of June 2027.

Moreover, even with some poor results over the last few weeks, it is not as though Arsenal’s form is anywhere near bad enough to lead to considerations of sacking Arteta.

However, Arsenal are still thinking about the future.

Arteta would furthermore be a target for some other clubs. Manchester City would reportedly see him as an ideal long-term successor to Pep Guardiola, while Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid also have an interest.

Therefore, Arsenal have identified Inzaghi as a strong candidate to lead their project if Arteta heads for the exit door.
