Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco enjoyed a fantastic 2024, becoming the leading assist provider in a star-studded squad.

During his recent interview on New Year’s Eve in Riyadh via FCInterNews, Dimarco offered his verdict on a memorable calendar year.

Widely considered one of Europe’s best full-backs, Dimarco has been a focal point of Inter’s attack under Simone Inzaghi.

Indeed, the dead-ball specialist was among the architects of Inter’s remarkable run to their 20th Scudetto last term.

Dimarco’s productivity was off the charts among Serie A defenders in 2023/24.

He racked up five goals and six assists across 30 league appearances, playing a crucial role in Inter’s vast domestic success.

Furthermore, the 27-year-old has already netted three goals and added three assists in 16 league games this season.

Therefore, he has established himself as one of the fan favorites.

More importantly, his contribution from the left flank has been the backbone of Inter’s rip-roaring domestic form.

Dimarco had his hand in so many goals for club and country that he couldn’t recall them all.

“I don’t even remember them all,” he laughed. “I’d say maybe the one for Cambiaso with the national team against Belgium.”

He picked out the Juventus star at the far post in the UEFA Nations League in September.

Meanwhile, he netted a screamer in Italy’s come-from-behind 3-1 triumph against fierce rivals France.

In one of the most impressive goals of this season’s competition, Dimarco volleyed home Sandro Tonali’s lofted pass.

Asked what was his best goal in 2024, he quickly replied: “Definitely the one against France.”

Unlike many other Inter stars, Dimarco doesn’t think a title-winning victory against AC Milan was the best game of 2024.

“Probably Inter-Lazio (last May 19), when we celebrated and lifted the trophy. Or maybe Inter-Torino, after the festivities,” he said.
