Inter director Piero Ausilio tempered the chatter about the departure of Davide Frattesi despite the constant rumors about a Roma switch and addressed a couple more transfer market-related subjects in an interview with Sky (via Fantacalcio)

“Things are simpler than they appear. He has never asked us to leave. The coach recently took stock of that with the whole squad, as it’s fair to do in this time of the year. The players are focused on our many objectives. He’s important to us and hasn’t voiced his desire to bolt.”

Ausilio took a veiled shot at the player’s representative Beppe Riso.

“At the same time, no team has approached us directly for Frattesi. We know he has a funny agent, who’s a friend but is also very active and got to work. It has become a topic more for the media than a technical one. He has played less recently, but it wasn’t because of coach’s decisions but physically related. He wasn’t dealing with anything serious, but it limited him. Despite not being 100, he has continued to be available.”

Ausilio dished on Tajon Buchanan, who has been linked to Torino.

“Many sides are keen on him, but I don’t rule out his permanence since he’s strong. He hasn’t demanded to exit either.”

Finally, Ausilio addressed the chatter about Inter pursuing Gianluigi Donnarumma next summer.

“We’re looking around, but finding a new goalie isn’t a priority nor a necessity at this stage. We’re contemplating other roles.”

Despite Francesco Acerbi’s injury woes, Inter haven’t budged from their stance of not doing anything of note in January, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
