AC Milan will face Inter in the season’s second Derby della Madonnina, and Simone Inzaghi has not downplayed the fixture and the test of facing Sergio Conceicao.

The derby reminds us of wonderful matches like the one on April 22 [the Scudetto-winning game], the Super Cup, the Champions League semi-final, but also the one in September in which we deserved to lose; we will try not to make the same mistakes as the last match. Milan has a new coach, but the players are the same and we know they have quality.”

Have you ever spoken to Conceicao again after the failed handshake with Porto?

“No, we haven’t seen or spoken to each other since. But absolutely nothing happened… There was a round of 16 that we felt. He was my teammate.”

Has Milan changed?

“There was only one match to analyze. Then we know Conceicao’s principles: he is a vertical coach, he gives a lot of organization to his teams, who never give up. Milan played a great second half and deserved to qualify for the final.”
