This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report, however, that Joaquin Correa could also be a surprise inclusion in the lineup.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have to find a way to cope without a key player tomorrow in the form of Marcus Thuram.

The 27-year-old picked up a thigh problem during Inter’s Supercoppa semifinal against Atalanta.

Therefore, Thuram will miss the final against AC Milan. There’s a slight hope of him being on the bench, but he certainly won’t start the match.

And according to the Gazzetta, Inzaghi’s main plan would be to start the player who replaced Thuram during the second half of Thursday’s semifinal against Atalanta.

32-year-old former Porto striker Mehdi Taremi is the favourite to start against Milan.

However, reports the Gazzetta, Inzaghi hasn’t yet fully settled on starting Taremi.

Alternatively, the coach could decide to start Joaquin Correa ahead of the Iranian.

Correa has not been a regular starter for Inter this season by any means.

However, the former Lazio forward has played more of a role already than most would have expected.
