Italian media rips into Chelsea loanee Joao Felix just weeks after his move to Milan | OneFootball

Joao Felix’s January move from Chelsea to AC Milan was met with plenty of excitement and he made an immediate impact in the Rossoneri colours.

However, the Italian media is beginning to suggest the Portuguese forward is already in decline despite playing just six games under Sergio Conceicao.

Felix completed his loan move to Milan on the final day of the January transfer window in what was a chaotic end to the month for the Rossoneri.

The former Atletico Madrid star wasted no time making his mark, netting a classy chip off the bench in his debut to help Milan claim a 3-1 win over AS Roma in the Coppa Italian quarter-final.

However, since that moment of brilliance, he has failed to register a goal or an assist in five consecutive appearances, leading to growing criticism in the Italian media.

They also suggest that he is up to his ‘usual’ tricks again in Milan, considering he showed the same patterns at Chelsea.

Felix scored in his Chelsea debut, helping the Blues clinch a 6-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, but failed to add to his tally before moving to Italy.

Despite his inconsistency, Felix has been a regular starter under Conceicao, who believes he can get the best out of his compatriot.

Conceicao was reportedly the one who pushed Milan to sign Felix in January but his current form has called his place in the team into question.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is still a huge fan of Felix and has waxed lyrical about his dazzling potential on several occasions.

However, he was powerless to stop him from leaving the club, with the forward keen to get more game time under his belt.
