Joao Felix refuses to rule out joining Milan on a permanent transfer from Chelsea: ‘For now, is just six months, but you never know in football.’
The Portuguese striker joined the Rossoneri on a temporary transfer from the Blues on the winter transfer window deadline day.
Milan don’t have an option to sign Joao Felix permanently, but this doesn’t mean the 25-year-old won’t remain at San Siro beyond the summer.
“It’s been a big effort to get me here from my agent as well,” Joao Felix told Milan TV.
“I want to help the team and the club and get the fans excited. For now it’s six months, but you never know in football. I hope to be happy.”

The Portuguese scored on his debut in a Coppa Italia game against Roma.
“It was a great feeling, I kind of felt that before the game and I did it with the help of my teammates. Now, the main thing is to keep it up,” he said.
Joao Felix has played for Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea. What did he learn at his former clubs?
“I was really young when I arrived to Benfica, they helped me a lot in being comfortable and it was a great year on a personal level and as a team,” he said.
“I moved to Spain when I was young. I wasn’t used to different countries and different languages. At the start, it took a while to settle, then I adapted, and the people were great.
“I had a great time at Barcelona. I always thought about playing there. I was really happy that year. Then Chelsea before coming to Milan. Good as well. I already knew people before because I had been on loan there before. I liked it. I really liked the Premier League.
“Generally, I’ve learned something at every club. People have taught me new things.”
The versatile forward has reunited with his compatriot Conceiçao at Milan.
“I know what Sergio is like. He loves football, games, winning. It’s fine; he really transmits this to his players,” said Joao Felix.
“He’s done well wherever he’s gone.”
The Chelsea loanee will share the San Siro dressing room with another big Portuguese player: Milan ace Rafael Leao. Are they on good terms?
“Very good, on and off the pitch. We get on very well,” confirmed Joao Felix.
“I really like playing with him because he gives me options. If I am getting pressured, he always gives me an option, whether that’s to feet or in behind. I love to play with him and have him by my side.
“I already knew some of my teammates. In the world of football, everyone knows each other. Nowadays, arriving at a club and getting a warm welcome is easy.”
Joao Felix’s parents are school teachers and this had a big impact on the striker’s education.
“My studies always came before football. I always had to get my homework done before going to training,” he concluded.
“If not, I wouldn’t get to train. Given that they are teachers, they know what happens in school. They always told me to behave myself and get good grades. I did, so it was a good upbringing.”
