Jeremie Frimpong's name is the flavour of the month in the media at the moment.
By all accounts, it seems like he is a target for Liverpool. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the club's interest and that Frimpong would be keen on the move.

How high up he is on Liverpool's shortlist remains to be seen. Because of all the rumours flying around, it feels like he could be the club's first choice target to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Frimpong's an exciting player. He's probably one of the best wing-backs in European football. Undoubtedly, he'd be a brilliant signing for Liverpool - especially because he qualifies as a homegrown player having spent nine years at Manchester City.
But he also comes with a lot of question marks.
Frimpong is a wing-back by trade, not a traditional full-back. He plays in a lot more of an advanced role than we have seen any Liverpool full-back being used in.
Sure, he's played as a right-back in the past, but his strengths are going forward - even though he is a competent defender.
If Liverpool were to bring him in, it feels like he wouldn't necessarily slot straight into the current system being used by Arne Slot.
Either Slot would have to adjust his system or Frimpong would have to accommodate his style of play in order to fit the system.
Initially, our bets hedged with the latter rather than the former. Adopting a new system just feels like too much of a radical step - especially because Liverpool are Premier League Champions - so why fix something that isn't broken?
But Alexander-Arnold's departure could force Slot's hands. And reliable German journalist, Florian Plettenberg has revealed some interesting information that might just hint towards the club's plans.
According to Plettenberg, Liverpool will plan to use Frimpong in a similar role he occupies for Leverkusen as an attacking player on the right flank.
What this means we are not 100% sure. But if indeed the plan is to use Frimpong in a more advanced role this would hint at a wild new change in the system.
Either it could mean that Liverpool will revert to a back three when in possession with the left-back inverting into the middle, which could see the Reds signing a more defensive minded left-back - someone like Jorrel Hato, who could also play as a centre-back.
Or what may be an even wilder concept is signing two really rapid wing-backs and having a back three with three permanent centre-backs at all times.
Anfield Watch exclusively revealed all the way back in November that Liverpool held talks with Milos Kerkez. The Hungarian is definitely capable of playing that offensive wing-back play so it's possible if Liverpool plan to sign both him and Frimpong, Slot could transition into a completely new system.
And what an exciting line-up that would be. The prospect of Kerkez bombing down one wing and Frimpong on the other is going to be a nightmare one for opposition defences.
At this stage though, we can only speculate. Only time will tell what will happen. Right now the only people who can truly know Liverpool's plans are those sitting in the boardroom and they are not giving anything away just yet.
