According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are considering promoting club legend Giorgio Chiellini to make him work closely with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and the first team.
The former defender returned to the Allianz Stadium in September 2024 as the Head of Football Institutional Relations, but he could be offered a new position for 2025-26.
According to Gazzetta, Chiellini could be involved in the club’s sporting management and become the new General Manager, although his next role has yet to be defined.

The club’s management has been under pressure just as much as coach Thiago Motta and the first team due to disappointing results in the 2024-25 campaign.
Juventus massively changed the club’s organisation in January 2023 by naming Gianluca Ferrero as the new President, replacing Andrea Agnelli and Maurizio Scanavino as the new CEO. A few months later, Giuntoli was appointed Juventus’ sporting director.
The club’s priority was to balance the books while granting competitiveness. Juventus registered earnings of €17m in the latest six-month balance sheet, but most fans have complained about a lack of a leading figure working in close contact with the first-team dressing room.
Chiellini, a nine-time Serie A winner at Juventus, would be a figure who could convey the club’s identity and motivate the team in tough times.
