According to Il Corriere della Sera, an unnamed Juventus player has admitted that he ‘can’t stand’ coach Thiago Motta and is ‘not the only one’ in the dressing room.
Il Corriere della Sera reports that a Juventus player, who hasn’t been named, has admitted his frustration with coach Thiago Motta.
“I can’t stand him, and I’m not the only one,” the Juventus player allegedly told a close friend.
“You never know what to expect. From starter to spending 90 minutes on the bench.”

It’s not the first time that Italian media has highlighted Motta’s poor relationship with part of the dressing room. According to Gazzetta and Tuttosport, this could even lead to the coach’s dismissal at the end of the season, even if he achieves a top-four finish.
Motta blamed himself after a “shameful” Coppa Italia elimination at the hands of Empoli but also criticised the team, saying that players didn’t show the right attitude and personality.
Corriere della Sera confirms that ‘people’ at the club are starting to think that Antonio Conte would be the ideal replacement for Motta in 2025-26.
Motta’s contract in Turin expires in June 2027, and sacking him in the summer would cost Juventus circa €20m.
