Kristjan Asllani: “It’s Easy To Play Alongside Hakan Calhanoglu” Ahead Of Parma Vs Inter Milan Serie A Clash | OneFootball

Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani says that it’s “easy” to play alongside Hakan Calhanoglu ahead of today’s Serie A match against Parma.

The Albanian spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, ahead of today’s match.

Inter Milan take on Parma this evening in Serie A.

And Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has gone with something of a surprise personnel shift.

Kristjan Asllani starts. The 22-year-old plays at the base of the Inter midfield trio.

That in itself is not too much of a surprise, considering the need for Inzaghi to utilize his entire squad during this intensely busy period in the fixture list.

However, what is unexpected is the fact that Hakan Calhanoglu is also in the starting eleven.

Typically, Asllani is the player who starts in place of Calhanoglu, rather than alongside the Turkish international. But this evening, the pair will find a way to play together.

Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani gave his thoughts on this positional change for Calhanoglu.

“It’s easy to play with players like him alongside me,” said the Albanian international.

“We’ve tried some things out in training,” he added. “And you’ll see them on the pitch.”

Asllani noted that it will be he and Calhanoglu’s “first time playing together, that’s true.”

“But we all know what we have to do,” he continued.

Asllani made clear that “we need everyone, across all the positions.”

“The important thing will be to take the three points here,” he made clear.

Meanwhile, Asllani admitted that Inter “have a lot of players out right now.”

“But all teams do,” he said of the injuries that have become a feature at this stage of the season.

“We know that there aren’t that many matches left. And we want to bring home the title.”

“We aren’t thinking about anything else,” added the former Empoli midfielder. “Just winning.”
