The Foxes are resigned to relegation after a torrid return to the Premier League this season. Leicester have lost 14 of their last 15 league games and are aiming to avoid an eight consecutive home loss tonight.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men are 15 points from safety with eight points to go and have not scored a goal in the Premier League since January 26th.
Newcastle head into tonight’s game in contrasting mood. A win for the Magpies will lift them into fifth as Eddie Howe’s side hunt down a place in next season’s Champions League.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has a near full-strength squad to select from with Abdul Fatawu the only confirmed absentee. The winger is currently recovering from an ACL injury.
Harry Winks was left out of the squad for the defeat at Manchester City last week, with reports emerging over a bust-up with Van Nistelrooy. The former reportedly refused to stay overnight at the club’s training ground, insisting on doing the 100-mile commute to training from his Hertfordshire home.
Leicester predicted XI: Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Okoli, Thomas, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Soumare; El Khannouss, Ayew; Vardy
Leicester City host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday 7th April 2025. Kick-off at the King Power Stadium is 20:00 GMT.
In the UK, the game is live on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event.
