Liverpool finally confirmed their favoritism and officially won the Premier League title with a ruthless 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham to secure their 20th English title in their history, officially equaling Manchester United's record.
Counting on a huge party at Anfield, Liverpool launched themselves into attack, creating great chances with Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo, but Tottenham still managed to give them a quick scare after just 12 minutes, when Maddison's corner from the right found Solanke free in the penalty area to set up a header.
Even so, Liverpool again showed great emotional resilience and quickly got the equalizer with Luis Díaz getting free in the box after a beautiful triangulation on the right. Buoyed by the strength of their fans, the Reds stayed on the attack and turned the game around with a sensational goal from Mac Allistar with a beautiful shot from the edge of the box.

As the half-time whistle blew, Liverpool's intensity and attacking aggression were maintained in order not to let the title slip away for another week. And in the 63rd minute, Mohamed Salah received the ball on the right flank and cut into the middle, beating goalkeeper Vicario and sending the fans wild in the stands at Anfield with his traditional move.
Tottenham were stunned and ended up contributing to Liverpool's party by scoring an own goal before the final whistle, when Udogie anticipated Diogo Jota's cross and ended up scoring an own goal, finally sealing the Reds' big party.
Unlike the title they won in 2020, Liverpool were finally able to celebrate a Premier League title with their fans without the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. What's more, Arne Slot's team has managed to impose its attacking style without causing problems in the squad, respecting the fans and the Reds' history. Liverpool deserve all the praise they can get, being worthy champions in a season they dominated from start to finish.
